Heidi Klum looked pretty in polka dots at the “Black Swan” premier in Los Angeles when she wore losing designer Mondo Guerra’s black and white gown.

In the season 8 finale of “Project Runway,” judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia debated Mondo’s taste—this dress in particular—to which judge Klum and guest judge Jessica Simpson defended the design.

Klum had defended the Denver-based designers looks from the start of season 8. “Mondo Guerra was a fan favorite, and one of my favorites as well,” Klum told Modelinia.com. “[The gown] really represents his design style, fun yet still chic.”

The dress has been altered from how it first debuted on the runway. Most notably, the sleeves, which were also adorned with bubbly dots and cuffed wrists, were removed, making it look a lot more red carpet ready.

Past contestants who were sent home have still gone on to have successful design careers. Season one cast-off Austin Scarlett hosts Lifetime's reality show “On The Road With Austin and Santino” with fellow designer and season two contestant Santino Rice. Daniel Vosovic, another season two alum, has shown several collections at New York Fashion Week, among other things.

It just goes to show that fashion is a fickle business.
