Nobody can accuse "The Bachelor" of being against recycling.
Brad Womack, the titular star of the show's 11th season, is back for a second go round on ABC's reality franchise per an announcement made on the September 27 episode of "Dancing With the Stars," reports Us Weekly.
The 37-year-old bar owner from Austin has a notorious place in the show's history. In the 2007 season finale, he declined to pick either of the final two contestants, DeAnna Pappas or Jenni Croft. In so doing, he bacame the only person to not pick a potential mate over the show's run and the decision caused a massive fan backlash, a fact that came up during his re-introduction.
"Brad, this time, pick somebody!" snapped "DWTS" host Tom Bergeron.
"Bachelor" host Chris Harrison also seemed initially wary of the inviting Womack back.
"At first, I was skeptical," he said in an interview with People. "But the more I thought about it, the more I feel in love with the idea of him coming back, getting another shot."
Harrison also defended Womack from the heated audience response.
"I don't think Brad deserved as much of the anger and resentment from the fans," he said. "He's come out a better man and I think he's ready to do this."
Will the second time be the charm for Womack? Tune in next January to find out.
