Actors Courteney Cox and David Arquette have decided on a "trial separation" after 11 years of marriage. Despite having been separated "for some time" the pair remain best friends and still "love each other deeply," they said in a statement to news outlets. Cox and Arquette met on the set of "Scream" in 1996 and married three years later. Their daughter Coco is six.
Halloween candy brings some turbulent celebrity couples together for the spooky holiday this weekend - at least for now.
"Coco is going to be a bumblebee and Courtney is going to be a sunflower," said the "Scream 4" star, adding that he plans on being much more low key and "put on a flower suit."
Arquette is flying into L.A. for the mini family reunion, after partying Saturday night with buddies in Vegas dressed up as Elvis.
Although Mom and Dad are there for Coco on Halloween, the two are not there for each other. The "Friends" star and her husband of 11 years announced a trial separation on October 11.
The actress was reportedly "pissed" when Arquette shared too much information about their break up on Howard Stern's satellite radio show, saying he was "crying" after the first time he slept with another woman after the separation and admitted he was "drinking a little more" since. It was the second time he talked about her to shock jock Stern.
"She had a right to get upset about some of the personal details," the actor said. He also promised on the Regis & Kelly show later that day he had remained 100 per cent faithful to his wife during their marriage.
On-again off-again reality TV couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt also spent time together this Halloween weekend, making a public appearance on the red carpet Saturday night at the Pure Nightclub Halloween party Montag was hosting in Las Vegas.
After calling off her divorce with Pratt, the "Hills" actress was spotted holding hands with her guy. She said she's "enjoying our relationship. I had so much going on before, I didn't have a chance to enjoy being a newlywed," Us Magazine reported.
Montag, 24, also told the magazine she's had "ups and downs" about her body, which had gone over 10 plastic surgery procedures. "I'm good," she said. "I'm just trying to focus on other things, not focus so much on my body."
Focusing on other things must have distracted her from finding a costume this weekend, because the attention-loving celeb just went as herself.
"I'm Heidi Montag for Halloween," she said on the red carpet. "I designed my own dress."
Her 26-year-old husband, on the other hand, arrived decked out as an alien in a long dark green robe and eerie mask. Almost as frightening as the celebrity couple's roller-coaster drama.
