Lohan Released from Hospital After Car Crash

The "Mean Girls" star's black Porsche was involved in an accident on Pacific Coast Highway.

Lindsay Lohan has been released from a brief hospitalization following a car crash Friday.

According to Santa Monica police, the star's black Porsche 911 slammed into the back of a dump truck at 11:42 a.m. on an incline on the 1100 block of the Pacific Coast Highway.

Lohan and the other as yet unnamed male occupant of the Porsche were transported to a local area hospital via ambulance.

The hospitalization was just a precaution, her rep said in a statement, adding that Lohan was on her way to the set of "Liz & Dick" when the accident occurred.

"She is fine and was released less than two hours later and is already headed back to the set to resume work. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident."

Both drivers were checked for signs of impairment, but none were found.

The Porsche's front bumper was smashed along with the driver's side window.

The troubled "Mean Girls" star has a history of brushes with the law including two D.U.I. incidents and several stints in rehab. Lohan, 25, is currently trying to rebuild her movie career with a starring role as screen legend Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime biopic "Liz & Dick," currently being filmed in Los Angeles.
