“The Voice” Recap: Jenni Rivera Remembered, Final 4 Perform

It's Blake Shelton vs. Cee Lo Green

"The Voice" is down to its final four contestants, but only two coaches are left in the competition as all of Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera's contestants have been sent home.

Of course, the NBC reality competition is fiercer than ever, as only one person will be sent home tomorrow. But before the semifinals began, host Carson Daly took a moment to acknowledge the tragic death of Latin singer Jenni Rivera, who was a coach on the show's Mexican spinoff: "On a sad not tonight, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Jenni Rivera. She was a coach on The Voice Mexico, a personal friend and a talented artist and will be greatly missed by many."

After a holiday-themed performance by Michael Bubl, it was time for the final four to perform...

Team Cee Lo

18-year-old Trevin Hunte was the first performer of the night, and he took on yet another iconic ballad: "Wind Beneath My Wings." While it was a bit pitchy for us (and a touch shriek-y?), Adam praised Trevin's performance and Christina said Trevin sang it better than she ever did. "You took it to a whole 'nother level," she gushed.

Before performing "You Are So Beautiful," Nicholas David returned home to head to the doctor with his pregnant wife to hear their child's heartbeat and then went to the Mall of America. "Today has been a whirlwind of emotions," he said. Of his "crazy emotional" performance, which was dedicated to his family, Adam said, "You're one of the most soulful people I've ever met." Cee Lo told his contestant, who isn't wearing his signature sunglasses tonight, that he looked "very handsome."

Team Blake

Florida Pop rocker Cassadee Pope tackled "Stupid Boy," a song picked for her by Blake. We thought it was one of her strongest performances yet, and the coaches agreed! "You almost sound auto-tuned because it's so perfect," Christina said, while Blake defended his decision to have Cassadee perform country songs. "She has the ability to connect with a lyric like nobody else I've ever seen on the show," he explained.

The final performance of the night comes from Scottish rocker Terry McDermott, who performed one of the most loved songs of all time, The Beatles' "Let It Be." The coaches love his performance; "Thank God for you, Terry," Adam gushed. "You did an incredible job." Blake called the song "sacred ground" and said he's one of the only singers in the world who should tackle it. "In my absolute heart, I believe that was musical perfection," he said. High praise!
