Lady Gaga: I Want to Be Married With Kids in 10 Years

"I want to have babies for my dad to hold, grandkids," the singer said

Lady Gaga said she may quit playing the fame game -- so she can raise a family.

"In eight to 10 years, I want to have babies for my dad to hold, grandkids," Gaga told Elle for its January issue.

"And I want to have a husband who loves and supports me, just the way anyone else does."

The outrageous pop icon confessed that she may trade her wild style for the trappings of traditional family life in the future -- but not before she's fully realized her career.

"I would never leave my career for a man right now, and I would never follow a man around," she told the magazine.

Her skyrocketing career hasn't always been glamorous.

Gaga said she's grappled with pushy record execs to the point of tears over artistic liberty and fought hard to de-sexualize her album art amid concerns that her bizarre taste wouldn't translate well to a mainstream audience.

"My album covers are not sexual at all, which was an issue at my record label," Gaga told Elle. "I fought for months, and I cried at meetings. They didn't think the photos were commercial enough."

"The last thing a young woman needs is another picture of a sexy pop star writhing in sand, covered in grease, touching herself."
