Anne Hathaway, Denzel Washington to Host Nobel Peace Concert

Apparently, even Nobel laureates like to get funky and mingle with the stars.

Hollywood A-listers Anne Hathaway and Denzel Washington have been tapped to host the Nobel Peace Price Concert in Norway, reports Reuters.

An eclectic slate of artists are scheduled to take the stage at the concert. Elvis Costello, pop princess Robyn, funk act Jamiroquai, Barry Manilow and jazz giant Herbie Hancock are all expected to perform.

This year's show will honor Nobel Peace Price laureate Liu Xiaobo, a Chinese dissident writer and activist who is currently incarcerated as a political prisoner in his home country.

The Nobel committee stated this week that Xiaobo's family would probably not attend the ceremony, where they would the medal, diploma and $1.4 million cash price awarded to winners.

Former winners of the prize have included Nelson Mandela and U.S. President Barack Obama.
