Guns ‘N Roses, Beastie Boys, Chili Peppers Make Rock Hall of Fame

The influential late 80s/90s bands will be heading to Cleveland in April.

The next Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will have a distinctly 90s feel to it.

The ballots are in, and the next Hall class will be led by seminal rock band Guns 'N Roses, experimental hip hop hybrids The Beastie Boys, and the flamboyant Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Also getting nods were late singer/songwriter Laura Nyro (a performer who also wrote for the likes of Barbra Streisand and Three Dog Night), folk singer Donovan, and British band The Small Faces/The Faces, which once boasted Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood as members.

The induction ceremony will be held on April 14, 2012 in Cleveland, where the Hall of Fame is located.

Despite being on the ballot, several big acts were passed over for 2012, including Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Donna Summer, and Heart.
