John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston aren't shy when it comes to telling the world about their new baby boy.

The happy parents welcomed their third child, Benjamin, on Nov. 23 and call him their "miracle."

"He's given the house a renewed spirit and purpose," Travolta, 56, told People magazine. Both People and Britain's Hello! magazine have interviews and pictures in their issues out this week.

Preston's pregnancy was announced 17 months after 16-year-old son Jett died following a seizure during a family vacation. "The Last Song" actress, 48, said that she and her actor husband had been trying for another child for three years, and that news of her pregnancy last May left them "completely blown away."

"They went through such a public tragedy losing Jett at age 16 and then later came the news of Kelly's pregnancy, and it just did so much to buoy their spirits," People Magazine editor Suzanne Zuckerman told ABC News. "Of course they tell people that Jett is always with them and will never leave them."

The couple's 10-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu, was also ecstatic to have a new baby brother. She waited outside the room with actress and close family friend Kirstie Alley while her mother was in labor.

The Travolta Family's Ocala, Fla. home is full of lullabyes, story-time, and hugs from big sis Ella, according to People. The ecstatic parents say the best moment so far was Benjamin's first big smile.

"For us it's been uplifting," Travolta told Hello!. "Especially when he smiles at me and seems contented in my arms."
