A bomb scare forced actors Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler to evacuate the Los Angeles hotel where they were promoting their upcoming film "The Ugly Truth."

The stars were among 400 guests at the Four Seasons Hotel who were forced to leave the luxury hotel while police investigated a bomb threat that had been called in, People.com reported.

Heigl, showing off her newly dyed red locks, mingled with fans as Butler posed for pics with members of the AC Milan soccer team during the 2-hour interlude, the magazine reported. The stars eventually ducked into the nearby Il Cielo restaurant.

Police found no suspicious packages or luggage and allowed guests back into the hotel later that afternoon.

The co-stars were at the hotel promoting their new film, "The Ugly Truth," which hits theaters Friday.
