If last Tuesday’s episode of “The Voice” was a figurative homecoming for artists from past seasons, then Monday’s episode was a literal homecoming.
The top 5 remaining competitors — Koryn Hawthorne, Meghan Linsey, Joshua Davis, India Carney and Sawyer Fredericks — made the long treks back to their hometowns this week, getting joyous receptions from friends, family and even dogs.
But back in the "Voice" arena, they did their best to stick around for one more week.
Joshua Davis: “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt.
Koryn Hawthorne: “One” as performed by U2 and Mary J. Blige.
U.S. & World
Meghan Linsey: “I’m Not the Only One” by Sam Smith
India Carney: “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles
Sawyer Fredericks: “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield
Joshua Davis: “When I Paint My Masterpiece” written by Bob Dylan and recorded by The Band
Koryn Hawthorne: “Oh Mary Don’t You Weep” by Aretha Franklin
Meghan Linsey: “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton

And last but not least was Sawyer Fredericks, singing “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri.
Nate Ruess, a special guest coach this season and the frontman of the band fun., opened the show with a performance of his single “Nothing Without Love.”
And a few actresses from “Pitch Perfect 2” — Anna Kendrick, Hailee Steinfeld and Brittany Snow — stopped by to talk about their highly anticipated sequel to the hilarious a cappella flick.
Tune in Monday at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT to find out which singers advance.
