Simon Cowell and Carmen Electra are an item ... well, kind of.
Cowell put an end to the are they/aren't they rumors Wednesday when he called into "On Air with Ryan Seacrest," according to Today.
Just don't use the G-word when referring to her is all "The X Factor" hosts asks. "She's not my girlfriend. We're people who date," Cowell, 53, told Seacrest.
While they may not be exclusive, Cowell couldn't help but gush a little over the "Baywatch" and "90210" alum, asking Seacrest, "She's adorable, isn't she?"
The pair got to know each other in February after Cowell hired Electra, 40, to be a guest judge on "Britain's Got Talent." Dating rumors really began to circulate in September when the pair was photographed together following a dinner they shared in West Hollywood.
Electra went public with her feelings for Cowell in November during an appearance on "Access Hollywood Live." "He's so cute. He is adorable. He's actually a sweetheart," she said at the time. "I think he's really cool."
Both became single early in 2012 after finishing long-term relationships with other people. Electra ended her engagement with former Korn guitarist Robert Patterson, and Cowell ended his relationship with makeup artist Megan Hussainy.
