Robin Williams' Daughter: “I'll Try to Keep Looking Up”

Robin Williams' daughter compared her father to a star in the nighttime sky and vowed to "keep looking up" in the wake of his apparent suicide.

Zelda Williams borrowed a line from French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's novella "The Little Prince" to remember her father in an emotional Twitter tribute Tuesday.

"You alone will have the stars as no one else has them…In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night…You - only you - will have stars that can laugh," Zelda Williams tweeted.

She followed up the famous quote with her own heartfelt note: "I love you. I miss you. I'll try to keep looking up. Z," she said in the tweet, which has been retweeted over 30 thousand times since it was posted at midnight.

Zelda, 25, is Williams' daughter with his second wife Marsha Garces. The two also have a son, Cody Allan Williams, 22. The Oscar-winner has another son, Zachary Pym Williams, 31, with first wife Valerie Veladi.

Williams' wife of three years Susan Schneider, who was reportedly in their home before his death, released a statement Monday to express her "profound grief" over his death.

"This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings," Schneider said. "I am utterly heartbroken."

Williams himself took to social media two weeks ago to wish Zelda a happy birthday with a black and white father-daughter photo on Instagram. Zelda appears as a child in the photo and Williams used the popular #tbt (throwback Thursday) hashtag in his birthday message to her. "Quarter of a century old today but always my baby girl. Happy Birthday @zeldawilliams Love you!"

Williams reportedly named his daughter after the Nintendo game character Zelda. Father and daughter appeared in a Nintendo commercial together in 2011. In the ad, Zelda asks her dad if he's "mixing her up with the princess," to which he responds "Hard to say, you're both pretty magical."
