If the promise of "drunken surprises" wasn't enough irreverence from Golden Globe hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the latest ceremony promo pic should leave little doubt that fun and glam will be the tone of the evening come Jan. 13.

In the image (above), the comediennes (and Globe rival nominees for best actress in a comedy series) sport glittering gowns and footwear more suited to the playground than the ceremony stage. Eschewing the teetering heights that a Louboutin, Blahnik or Choo could lend, the "30 Rock" and "Parks and Recreation" stars instead opted for the comfortable practicality and old school charm of Converse kicks.

"Extreme pageantry"? Perhaps. But if they do stick with this latest sartorial choice, at least it will be a cushy walk down the red carpet.

The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will be broadcast live on NBC Jan. 13.
