“Hannibal” Renewed for Second Season

Prepare for some killer news, "Hannibal" fans.

NBC announced Thursday that it has renewed the Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen-led drama series for a second season consisting of 13 episodes.

"We're so proud of [executive producer Bryan Fuller's] vision for a show that is richly textured, psychologically complex, and very compelling," NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said in a statement. "There are many great stories still to be told."

Now comes the not-so-tasty news. "Hannibal" will not premiere until midseason at the earliest. Sure, it's a long time to wait, but we anticipate the wait will be worth it.
