Bruce Springsteen removes his jacket as he arrives at the airport in Cape Town, South Africa, Friday, Jan. 24, 2014. Springsteen will begin his first South African tour on Sunday, Jan. 26, in Cape Town.

The man who was Born to Run has come all the way to South Africa for a first-ever performance in the country.

Bruce Springsteen arrived in Cape Town on Friday ahead of four concerts with the E Street Band — on Jan. 26, 28 and 29 in Cape Town and on Feb. 1 in Johannesburg.

Nicknamed "The Boss," Springsteen flew into Cape Town in a private jet, removing a black leather jacket in the sunny summer weather as he headed to a waiting vehicle.

Springsteen has released a new album titled "High Hopes."
