Mariah Carey isn't ready to let go of her new music just yet.

While she had planned on releasing the upcoming album "The Art of Letting Go" on July 23, the 43-year-old Grammy winner says she simply needs a little more time to work on it.

"While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23," Carey tweeted on Monday night.
