Louis C.K. gave Jimmy Fallon parenting advice peppered with his wry sense of humor, and dished on the new season of his FX show during his appearance on Monday's episode of "The Tonight Show."

First, Fallon apologized to C.K. for bumping him from an episode of "Late Night." The talk show host cancelled the taping because his daughter, Winnie Rose Fallon, was coming into the world.

The 46-year-old explained that a producer called him and mysteriously said, "There's something going on with Jimmy and we can't tell you about it."

"I was convinced that you had disappeared," C.K. said. He eventually figured out that, "Another life began instead of one ending."

"I would be scared if I died," Fallon said.

"No you wouldn't, you won't be anything," C.K. said. "There are no more things after you die. Unless there's a hurricane and your coffin comes out of the mud."

Then Fallon asked C.K. if he had any parenting advice. The "Tonight Show" host's daughter is 9 1/2 months old while the FX star has two daughters who he lives with in New York City.

"You don't have to do anything," C.K. said of Fallon's daughter. "She's still at the age that if you leave her in a room she'll still be there a few minutes later. She just eats, poops and falls asleep."

Fallon also brought up that C.K. has a boat he sails from time to time, which can be difficult in New York City.

"Parking is the hardest thing because you go into these marinas and you're parking between 3 million dollar boats," C.K. explained. "You can't use your steering wheel cause you're not going fast enough so you just have two engines and you drive it like a tank. Every time I go into a marina these millionaires will come out of their boats and they have this terrified look on their face."

Finally C.K. dished on the fourth season of his self-titled show, which premiered on May 5.

"I spent a year to make the show, I usually spend three of four months but it's the hardest I've ever worked on the show," C.K. said.

C.K. also said he brought on Academy Award-winning comedian Steven Wright to help out with the new season.
