Liberace's โ€œBehind the Candelabraโ€ Lover No Longer Behind Bars, Wants to Meet Matt Damon

Owner of Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel is helping Scott Thorson whose book became a successful movie for HBO.

Talk about strange bedfellows!

Just days after the successful airing of HBO's Liberace biopic, "Behind the Candelabra," Liberace's former lover Scott Thorson (played by Matt Damon in the flick) found himself bailed out of a Reno jail by a local brothel owner and his girls.

Before Sunday night, Dennis Hof, owner of Nevada's The Moonlite Bunny Ranch, had never heard of Thorson, who wrote the book Behind the Candelabra. That all changed thanks to the girls of the Bunny Ranch.

Hof tells E! exclusively, "Madam Suzette and the girls saw the show on Sunday night and they said 'Dennis, we have to help this guy.' So we got involved."

"We took six of the girls with us in the Bunny Ranch limo," said Hof, "and bonded Scott out."

According to reports, Thorson had been jailed while awaiting sentencing on burglary and identity theft charges.

"He is a nice guy and got caught up in some crazy things in his life," said Hof, who believes things turned bad for Thorson when he and Liberace split.

To help, Hof hooked Thorson up with his attorney pal David Houston, who has also represented Joe Francis and Hulk Hogan. Scott's sentencing is scheduled for July 3 and Hof tells E! News, "We think it's all going to work out well and he is going to get a new lease on life."

So far, so good. Scott spent his first night of freedom watching Behind the Candelabra with Hof and the girls. Hof tells E! "It was very emotional for Scott. He expressed his love for Liberace even after all this time."

And what did Scott think of Matt Damon's portrayal of him? "Scott thought Matt did a great job. He wants to meet him and thank him."
