James Franco: Justin Bieber Not Too Happy With My “Boyfriend” Video, Didn't Mean to “Diss”

Uh-oh! Could there be a feud brewing between Justin Bieber and James Franco?

The 127 Hours star recently posted a video on his WhoSay page that showed him lip-synching the teen sensation's hit single "Boyfriend" while wearing a crooked baseball cap over very Biebs-esque bangs and frolicking through a house with Ashley Benson, his Spring Breakers costar and maybe-girlfriend.

However, the video disappeared not long after it went up.

"I was asked to take it down by some people," Franco explained to me yesterday at the Sundance Film Festival, where he's been promoting three movies, Interior. Leather Bar., Kink and Lovelace. "Bieber didn't contact me, but I don't think he was too happy."

Offending Bieber wasn't his goal. "I wasn't trying to diss him," he said.

Well, maybe he didn't. A source insists the singer has never seen the Franco video.

Bieber certainly isn't the first pop star to get the James Franco treatment.

In fact, Franco posted a short video of himself pseudo-singing Selena Gomez's "Love You Like a Love Song," during the making of Spring Breakers (Gomez is also in the Harmony Korine-directed indie, out in March).

Gomez praised Franco's send-up of her song. "I loved it," she told me not long after the video went viral. "It was so good."

That's not all we have from Franco. Make sure to come back here later on to find out what he has to say about his sex-filled Sundance films.
