WATCH: George Clooney Charms “Downton Abbey” Cast in New Video

George Clooney makes a guest appearance in a "Downton Abbey" video that was made to help benefit the U.K. channel ITV's Christmas 2014 charity initiative, "Text Santa."

The clip, which was released this week, runs for more than nine minutes and is a parody of "It's a Wonderful Life." Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham (Hugh Bonneville), is in despair because he is facing financial ruin. Joanna Lumley from the cult British sitcom "Absolutely Fabulous" plays an angel who shows him what his aristocratic family would be like had he never been born.

His wife, Cora (Elizabeth McGovern) is, of course, married to "George Oceans Gravity," aka "Lord Hollywood," played by Clooney, who has no problem packing on the PDA with her in front of everyone. Often.

"Husband?" asks Lord Grantham. "What on earth does she see in him?

"Seriously?" asks Lumley.

Clooney's character is so suave he makes Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham, (Maggie Smith) fall off a couch! No, really. All it takes is coming into physical contact with Clooney and Smith, age 79, is down on the floor.

E! News learned about Clooney's special "Downton Abbey" guest appearance in September. The sketch was filmed at Highclere Castle, the setting of the British period drama. Clooney's wife Amal works in London as a human rights attorney. Barbara Walters named her the "most fascinating" person of 2014 in her annual TV special, noting that she had managed to get the actor, once one of the most eligible and famous longtime bachelors, to get married again.

During his stint on Downton Abbey, he took a funny selfie with the cast. And, naturally, Clooney's guest appearance drew a lot of attention.

"I'll put it this way: I've never seen so many female crew members arrive and be on set when they weren't actually supposed to be," cast member Allen Leech, who plays Tom Branson, told E! News in November.

Sadly, Clooney is not set to make an appearance on the actual show. Season 5 of "Downton Abbey" began airing in the United Kingdom in September. The new episodes will air on PBS in the United States on Jan. 4, 2015.
