Criss Angel Dangles Over Alligators While Covered in Chum in South Miami-Dade

Criss Angel was at the Alligator Farm in South Miami-Dade Friday afternoon.

Illusionist Criss Angel's latest stunt brought him to South Florida where he was suspended over 250 alligators after being covered in blood and chum.

The 45-year-old magician, known for his TV show Criss Angel Mindfreak, broke free from arm and leg shackles as he dangled over snapping gators at the Everglades Alligator Farm in South Miami-Dade Friday.

The gators were snapping at meat that was placed under Angel, who completed the stunt about three minutes after he was hoisted to full height.

The illusion was filmed in front of a live audience for his new TV series "Criss Angel Believe" that has the same name as his Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas.

In the show, he will explain to his viewers how his smaller illusions are done. The small illusions will lead to bigger illusions, like the alligator one, but he won't reveal the secrets to those.

While Angel has done tricks with animals before, this is his first involving alligators.

The new series airs in October on Spike TV.
