    Celebrities like Rachael Ray and Mario Lopez are joining the conversation around #ClearTheShelters as hundreds of shelters around the country get ready to find forever homes for animals in need.

    NBCUniversal and Telemundo's nationwide pet adoption drive will take place Saturday, July 23, when more than 600 animal shelters will waive or discount adoption fees.

    Ray, Lopez, "Real Housewife" Lisa Vanderpump and actress Vanessa Williams — who has a rescue dog of her own — are among the famous names joining the conversation on social media.
