Caitlyn Jenner Not Offended by Halloween Costumes Based on Her Vanity Fair Cover: β€˜I Think It's Great'

Thinking about going as Caitlyn Jenner for Halloween? The Olympic athlete doesn't mind if you do.

In a sneak peek at the "I Am Cait" star's exclusive interview with "Today" airing Thursday, Matt Lauer asks about the costumes appearing online for the holiday.

"When you hear that there are companies out there that want to do Caitlyn Jenner costumes for Halloween from the Vanity Fair cover, are you in on the joke or do you think it's offensive?" asks Lauer.

"I'm in on the joke. I don't think it's offensive at all," Jenner replies while on the golf course. "I know the community does and they've gotten a lot of criticism for doing it. I think it's great."

She continued while chuckling, "To be honest with you, I think it's great. They could have a better looking outfit for him, you know?"

One costume that has surfaced on the web is a "Caitlyn Corset Set" available through Spirit Halloween.

When some began to criticize the merchandise, the largest chain of specialty Halloween stores in the country defended the item.

"At Spirit Halloween, we sell many costumes for celebrities, heroes and superheroes," the company tweeted to one consumer. "Caitlyn Jenner is all of these."

As for Jenner herself, she's just upset that she didn't think of the idea before everyone else.

"We could have done my own costume," she joked. "I mean that was a serious bustier on the cover of Vanity Fair, you know?"

Lauer's full interview with Jenner airs Thursday morning on "Today."
