UPDATE: Selfie or not, it's still an awesome photo!

Valentina Attard, the girl featured in the Instagrammed photo above and below took to her Tumblr Wednesday to set the record straight regarding her "selfie" with pop superstar Beyonce that she took during the singer's recent concert in Melbourne, Australia.

"Okay so as most of the people that have recently followed me i have been the girl that got her selfie 'photobombed' by Beyonce when in fact i asked her for the photo so she posed and smiled as the perfect person she is! .... just thought i’d clear the air haha," Attard wrote.

While it's cool she felt she needed to set the record straight, there's no denying it is a fantastic image and that Attard did indeed have a "perfect night" watching the "amazing" Beyonce.

Here's our article as it originally appeared:

    Beyonce is full of surprises.

A 15-year-old Australian girl thought she was snapping a selfie in the midst of the singer's concert at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne Park on Friday, Oct. 25. What the young dancer didn't anticipate, however, was that Queen Bey would end up photobombing her.

The teen shared the picture via Tumblr days later and explained what happened in a series of blog posts. "OMG OMG OMG I CANT BELIEVE IT HAPPENED TO ME," she wrote on Monday, Oct. 28. "i dont even know it was such a blur i just remember her bending down to me and my friend and i just turned for the photo and wowoowow it was the best moment ever like she posed its crazy i wasnt even expecting her to look at my phone or notice me in the crowd."

The brunette fan added that it was a "perfect night" and called Beyonce "amazing."

Beyonce is in the midst of her "Mrs. Carter World Tour." She next performs at Australia's Brisbane Entertainment Centre before heading to North America in late November.
