After weeks in the hospital, Zsa Zsa Gabor is finally going home.
The 93-year-old actress was released from Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Wednesday evening after having been hospitalized since July 17 for suffering a fall at her Bel Air Home, KABC reported.
Doctors had hoped to release Gabor on Monday, but her publicist John Blanchette told the Associated Press an infection changed those plans. On Wednesday, he announced she was scheduled to be taken by ambulance to her home.
Gabor's daughter, Francesca Hilton, thanked her mother's fans. "It's been a long ride and I have cherished the time I have had to spend with my mother, whose strength and will to live has astonished us all," she said in a statement.
After falling at her home while reaching to answer a telephone, the Hungarian-born actress underwent hip-replacement surgery on July 19.
