Tony Parker: Divorce From Eva Longoria Has Been Hard

Basketball star Tony Parker may not be on the rebound from his divorce from Eva Longoria for awhile.

Nearly three months after the star couple split and just a week since the divorce became final, Parker said it's tough. But the San Antonio Spur says he knows he's also fortunate.

"I've been really lucky in life," Parker, 28, told French radio station Europe1. "I've super family, friends – that's what's most important. When you look around with what's going on in the world – with sick children, people in real difficulties – I have no right to complain."

Parker said he's been focusing on his career as a way of "holding on," he says – an "escape."

"[Divorce] was hard but life goes on," he says. "Like anyone else, I've learned that life is full of experiences, and you learn from your mistakes. And go on."

Longoria, 35, tweeted a similar sentiment: "Starting over is hard to do," she said, "but life goes on. I pray for strength, courage and wisdom on my new journey.

The pair's split came amid reports Parker had been exchanging intimate texts wit the wife of former teammate Brent Barry. Barry and his wife, Erin, divorced last year.
