Shia LaBeouf To Work With Marilyn Manson on Documentary

Rocker Marilyn Manson tapped a hot Hollywood actor to direct a documentary about his upcoming album.

That honor belongs to Shia LaBeouf, who revealed on "Live with Regis and Kelly" on Thursday, that he is working with the rocker, Billboard.com reported.

LaBeouf appeared on "Live" to talk about his new Transformers movie “Dark of the Moon.” During the conversation, co-host Regis Philbin brought up the topic of directing, which the actor mentioned his previous directing credits, including a video for Kid Cudi’s "Marijuana" and a horror short called "Maniac," which got the attention of Manson.

Co-host Kelly Ripa, apparently a Manson fan, asked LaBeouf what it was like to meet with the rocker. The actor described Manson as a “really sweet guy” and recalled meeting him at his West Hollywood home.

"There are no lights in the room. And there are these big metal doors and he opens the door and he's in a kimono, a big pink kimono. It's sort of like a lair. We sat and watched movies for a while and talked about what kind of visuals he wanted on his album, which are all really eccentric ideas. “

Manson’s last album was "The High End of Low," which was released in 2009. Among the singer’s previous records include “Smells Like Children” and “Antichrist Superstar.” The new album is slated to come out later this year, according to Billboard.

LaBeouf, who plays Sam in the “Transformers” movies, recently told The Associated Press that he is finished with the film franchise.

"I love making them (the movies). I love the crew. I love Michael (Bay). I love the cast. I love Sam ... but I don't have anything new to contribute and I don't think there's anywhere to take Sam really."
