Smells Like Miley Cyrus

Former Disney pop princess Miley Cyrus has had a busy few days, what with having her old hit “Party in the U.S.A.” become a death anthem, to performing Nirvana’s iconic 90s anthem “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in concert.

“I wanted to be able to do the music that inspired me,” Miley told the crowd during her Gypsy Heart tour.

Kurt Cobain, the late iconic front man of Nirvana said he wanted the Top 10 hit to be “the ultimate pop song,” though the song was about anarchism and named after a popular brand of deodorant.

Miley, who was born in 1992, a year after the single was released, dedicated the performance to her younger brother. “…this song is something I always sing with my little brother who can’t be with me on tour, so this song is also for him.”
