Miley Cyrus Addresses Bong Vid: “It Was a Bad Decision”

Miley can’t be tamed – but she still makes “mistakes.”

In a new interview with Marie Claire magazine, Miley Cyrus has opened up about a leaked video from two months ago that shows her smoking the legal drug salvia from a bong and acting loopy.

"I'm not perfect, “ Cyrus said of the incident, said to take place in California days after her 18th birthday party. “I made a mistake.”

In the immediate aftermath of TMZ posting the video, Cyrus’ dad Billy Ray took to Twitter to express his disapproval.

“Celebrity Rehab” host Dr. Drew Pinksy also weighed in, saying it appeared the former “Hannah Montana” star was depressed and acting out in response to her parents’ split.

Pressed by Marie Claire’s reporter on whether Cyrus should really cop to misbehavior when college kids are “smoking bongs with a lot more than salvia in them,” the pop star said: "But they're not Miley Cyrus."

Other teens are “not role models,” Cyrus said in New Orleans, where she’s shooting the comedy “So Undercover.”

“So for me it was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for,” the "Can't Be Tamed" singer told Marie Claire.
