Bad dog.

Martha Stewart revealed she was hospitalized Tuesday after one of her pooches inadvertently split her lip with a powerful headbutt. And the domestic mogul proudly showed off the battle wound on her blog, Access Hollywood reported

In a post titled “My Emergency Experience,” Stewart explained Thursday the canine K.O. happened at her upstate New York home as she was bidding adieu to her French Bulldog, Francesca.

With a snowstorm in the forecast, Stewart had hoped to arrive in New York City ahead of morning TV appearances while there was still time.

“As I leaned down to whisper goodbye to a dozing Francesca, I must have startled her, because she bolted upright with such force that she hit me in the face like a boxing glove hitting an opponent’s face,” Stewart wrote. “I was entirely startled and my neck snapped back. I felt a bit of whiplash as blood gushed forth from my split lip.”

Stewart said Francesca seemed to be “as upset as I was and cowered in her bed.”

After looking in the mirror and seeing a “serious gash,” Stewart said she phoned her daughter, Alexis, to ask her to make sure the local medical center could staff a plastic surgeon for the night.

“When we arrived, I was instructed to lie down and wait until the plastic surgeon on call, Dr. William Nolan, could get there from his nearby home,” Stewart wrote. “The pictures tell the rest of the story.”

Stewart went on to post 32 images from the hospital that she said her manager Betsy Perreten snapped.

Among shots of Stewart’s busted lip, her surgeon and various medical equipment was one photo aimed straight at the ceiling.

Ever the decorator, Stewart penned this caption: “The ceiling border in the little patient room could use some updating, don't you think?”
