Singer Carrie Underwood is newly engaged to Mike Fisher, an ice hockey player for Ottowa, according to USMagazine.com.

Carrie Underwood got her very own cowboy Casanova for Christmas.

The "American Idol" winner and "Cowboy Casanova" crooner said her favorite gift this holiday was her brand-new finance -- and the blonde country music songstress took to her fan site to gush about her hunky soon-to-be hubby.

"I think you all know what Santa left under the tree for me this year ... a finace! Woo hoo!" she wrote on her fan site.

The 26-year-old singer announced last week that she and hockey playing hottie Mike Fisher, 29, got engaged after being together one year.

She was spotted sporting a dazzling five-plus carat diamond ring that was estimated to be valued at $150,000 during a recent Ottawa Senators game, according to People.com

Though Underwood has no reason to sing the blues these days, she lamented that her holiday plans were cut short by a "mess of snow and ice." Still, the newly engaged couple "got to spend a little time in good ole' Checotah," she wrote of her hometown in Oklahoma.

"Not that I needed another day of all that good! I ate so much on Christmas Eve that I thought I might actually get sick! But it was sooooo goooood! "

The happy couple has yet to set a date but are planning for a summer wedding.
