Kate Hudson's estranged father, Bill, isn't so much holding out an olive branch to his daughter in his new memoir as much as he's sharpening it into a spear.
The 61 year-old musician has written a scathing book in which he lashes out at Hudson, as well as his ex-wife Goldie Hawn, chastising the former for making no attempts to connect with members of her extended family.
"I love Kate, but ... she had done stuff which is just awful," he writes. "She is a spoiled brat in my eyes."
Hudson claims the 32 year-old actress has made no attempts to contact her ailing grandmother, who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, or her half-sister.
"Kate doesn't have to talk to me, and she doesn't have to give [me] a dime of her millions," said Hudson, in an interview with RadarOnline.com. "All I want is for her to call [her grandmother] and say,'Hi grandma,' before it's too late."
The book, titled "2 Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family," also details Hudson's relationship with Hawn, whom he met in 1976 and divorced in 1980.
Kate Hudson has always considered actor Kurt Russell, who has been with Hawn since shortly after her divorce from Bill Hudson when Kate was three, to be her father, referring to him as "dad" in interviews.
The actress and fiance Matt Bellamy recently welcomed a son, named Bingham "Bing" Hawn Bellamy, in June. Hudson also has a seven year old son, Ryder, with her ex-husband, musician Chris Robinson.
