Jessica Simpson & Tony Romo Split Say Online Reports

Jessica Simpson and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo have split, according to several online reports.

Tony reportedly broke up with Jessica on Thursday, just one day before the singer's 29th birthday, a source close to Jessica told People, the first outlet to report the news.

"She is heartbroken," the People source claimed. "She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show ("The Price of Beauty"). They decided to part ways."

According to the singer's Twitter page, she had planned on throwing a Barbie and Ken-themed birthday bash – but canceled the festivities.

"barbie party didn't happen, but i turned 29 and feel like i am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER," Jessica Tweeted on Saturday.

According to an Us Weekly source, the party was canceled due to the split.

"She canceled her party because of this," an Us Weekly claimed. "She's doing OK."

A pal of the football star told Us Weekly, "It's been a long time coming."

On Friday, just one day after the reported split, Tony was seen at Hollywood's MyHouse with approximately 14 friends – minus Jessica, another source told the mag.

"He had quite a few girls stop by his dance floor table," a club patron claimed. "Romo was sipping Grey Goose and having a fun time with the boys."

Another Us Weekly source claim the duo was constantly fighting, saying, "They go from one fight right into another, without a second break. It's always something with Jessica."

On Sunday, Jessica was back on Twitter sounding more optimistic.

"everyone needs to know that hope floats…grab the strings and pull it back to you," she wrote. "Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs. Please lord give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies, and family rest. Bring all of us peace."

Jessica's rep had no comment on the split when contacted by the mag and Tony's camp could not be reached for comment.
