Jessica Simpson Goes Makeup-Free For Marie Claire

Jessica Simpson is going makeup-free for Marie Claire.

"The Price of Beauty" star appears on the mag's May 2010 cover without makeup or retouching and with wavy, air-dried hair.

"I don't have anything to prove anymore," she told the mag. "What other people think of me is not my business."

The star went all-natural to promote her new initiative, "A Beautiful Me," which she'll be launching upon the conclusion of her VH1 reality show.

Despite having hairstylist to the stars Ken Paves in her entourage, she told the mag that air-drying is her usual hair care method.

"I'll usually wash my hair and let it air-dry wavy, but if I'm just in a hang-out mood, I won't even wash it. I'll wait until it smells," she said. "If I'm in a mood to go out and feel hot and sexy, I want long hair that I can feel on my back. But I also like bed head."

Ken supported Jessica, telling the mag that he thought it was time to embrace the natural look.

"I think we hit a plateau of overproduced beauty where hair became too cartoonish," he said. "Now people want a more natural, achievable look."

"The Price of Beauty" airs on Mondays on VH1.
