Access Hollywood has uncovered shocking new details in the Peter Cook-Christie Brinkley divorce saga.
Joseph Tacopina, an attorney for Diana Bianchi, told Access he was livid upon hearing reports that a sex tape Cook had allegedly secretly recorded with Bianchi in his Southampton office was making the rounds, along with several topless photos of his client.
“You can put a tie on a wolf and seat him next to Barbara Walters,” Tacopina said of Cook. “And he can say he’s a lamb, but he’s still a wolf. We are weighing our legal options, and Diana will make a decision if she wants to pursue it.”
According to a source, at one point during her divorce proceedings, Brinkley, already horrified that her husband had been masturbating on a Web cam, suspected that Cook might be making his very own porno tapes.
In fact, Access Hollywood has learned exclusively that she found out Cook had allegedly registered to buy a Web site name related to supermodels stripping.
About the latest revelation, Brinkley’s attorney Robert Cohen said, “Nothing about Peter Cook’s behavior shocks us. We don’t know anything about this tape. We never saw it and we never heard about it.”
And, as it turns out, Access has learned Brinkley and her team were indeed unaware until very recently of Cook’s recorded romp with Bianchi.
Another source told Access that Bianchi’s side only found out about the lurid tape’s existence when they were negotiating a settlement with Cook. The source claimed Cook’s camp used the allegedly surreptitiously recorded sex session as leverage while haggling with Bianchi to keep her hush about their affair and prevent her from suing him for sexual harassment.
Ultimately, the dispute was settled, Bianchi was given $300,000 and the titillating tape and provocative pictures we supposed to be privately held forever in escrow.
In addition to a possible lawsuit from Bianchi, Brinkley’s side, still reeling from his interview with Barbara Walters, is mulling whether to drag him back into court for allegedly breaching their confidentiality agreement.
