Kim Kardashian Is Suing Old Navy

The discount store will feel the wrath of a Kardashian for using her likeness in a recent campaign

You can’t please everybody.

Kim Kardashian is suing Old Navy for using a model that resembles the reality star in advertisements.

The Washington Post reports the campaign in question—the “Super Cute” multimedia ads—feature someone who some may assume is Kardashian, when in actuality it’s model Melissa Molinaro.

“I’ve worked hard to support the products I’m personally involved with and that I believe in,” Kardashian said in a statement. The celeb has her own fashion line--Dash--as well as several fragrances.

The suit, filed Tuesday, seeks unspecified damages for using a Kardashian lookalike to sell clothes.

Kardashian’s spokesperson later added, “Kim Kardashian is immediately recognizable, and is known for her look and style. Her identity and persona are valuable.”

Gap, who owns Old Navy, gave no comment.
