This rally is a large community gathering for kids and families providing an interactive fun learning experience about a serious subject - making a severe weather plan now! The National Weather Service's mascot OWLIE SKYWARN will be on site to help lead the charge!

The rally will feature the YMP game, a free digital interactive experience that is the centerpiece theme for rallies. An additional theme is the Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador program which is an effort to formally recognize NOAA partners who are improving the nation’s readiness, responsiveness, and overall resilience against extreme weather, water, and climate events.

Introduce kids, their parents, and educators to the weather professionals, including the NWS and area Broadcast meteorologists, as well as, emergency and research planners from every corner of San Diego County and beyond. It will provide a fun atmosphere for kids to tour a myriad of impressive big-rig emergency vehicles, talk to meteorologists, see the year-around dangers of flash-floods, and receive free materials. This event is sure to bring together communities in order to educate families on science, preparedness and safety from natural hazards. Join our partners who protect and serve the community as they showcase their services and meet community members, one-on-one.
