CINEMA IN THE SPRINGS: With 13 days, and dozens upon dozens of films from all points, the Palm Springs International Film Festival is not just a pop-by-for-two-hours kind of deal. Film fans will be arriving at the desert Shangri-La for some serious cinema-ing, which means spending a night or two. Good thing, then, that the Festival organizers have rounded up a bunch of local hotels and resorts that are running festival-related details. There are codes and discounts and such, so find your perfect place and then follow the directions. They're all easy. As easy as watching a good movie for two hours, and not having to drive two hours home.
