Perris-based artist Richard Breceda uses scrap re-bar, wires and metal to create a collection of dinosaurs, horses and other creatures across the Southwestern landscape.
He uses various sized hammers, from screwdrivers to sledgehammers, to pound texture into the patches of metal he welds into animals.
Here, along Borrego Springs Road, you can spot Mammoths and sabertooth tigers. The horses, installed in September 2008, can be found south of Borrego Springs Resort and Country Club.
