PASO PARTY: You know how after a major trip you just don't feel like doing much? You can barely get to your normal errands and chores, and you would never think of turning around and hosting a full-on affair. Not right away at least. It turns out Paso Robles does not think this way. A lot of the area winemakers hit the road in February to talk about what's growing in the Central Coast burg, and now they're turning right around and hosting full-scale, full-bodied the Paso Robles Zinfandel Festival.
MARCH 18-20: The three-day sip-and-talk fest will be happening at several Paso-based and Paso-close vineyards. And the creator of "Sideways" -- Rex Pickett is his name -- will be around town to discuss his new book, which follows the guys of that wine-loving world on a new road trip.
