Mellow Fall: Dana Point Harbor Music Cruises

Hop on an evening boat ride and savor the cooler temps, good sound flows, nice vibes.

EVENINGS DON'T ROLL UP THE AWNINGS... when fall arrives, nor do nighttimes put out the "closed" signs. This seems especially true around Southern California, where balmier temperatures, or at least warmer days, can stretch into October. It all feels right, then, that some summer-style happenings also stretch into the fall, especially those that involve music and the last glimmers of the sunset and the Pacific Ocean and a complimentary glass of Dana Point punch. Okay, that all got extremely specific, extremely fast, so here's where we're sailing this particular ship: Dana Wharf Whale Watching is offering an evening Live Music Cruise on the '95-foot Dana Pride every Saturday night through the end of October 2017. That's...

OCT. 28, and, with each on-the-water outing, a band shall play, with Cali Conscious, Bunch of Guys, Flock of 80's, and Sonic Gold all appearing on the rotating, still-to-come schedule. A ticket is $25, and that includes a yay-you're-here glass of Dana Point punch. But if punch isn't your go-to beverage, there's a full bar on board, too, where you can purchase a different sort of libation.

"PERFECT SUNSET VISTAS"? They're not just a hallmark of summer. When autumn arrives, and alfresco adventures settle into a sort of marvelous mellowness, finding an eveningtime outing can be a bit tricky. But not if you look to Dana Point, and Dana Wharf Whale Watching, which is keeping the live music cruise vibes going every Saturday night through the close of October.
