DEMOS, TOURS, AND CAKE: When you play host to a well-known event entitled Vintners' Holidays each and every fall, it stands to reason that you'll soon follow it up with Chefs' Holidays in the winter. After all, in the course of a dinner one the wine is first poured, and then, minutes later (fingers crossed), your entree is in front of you. Chefs' Holidays are on now, at The Ahwahnee in Yosemite, and there's still time to catch a weekend of celeb-chef talk and demos and kitchen tours and more.

MORE: Watching Duskie Estes and John Stewart of Zazu in Sonoma County cook the weekend of Feb. 2-3; and hearing Barbara Fairchild of Bon Appetit speak at the Jan. 26-27 session.

PLUS: The Ahwahnee in winter, which has to be about the coziest spot in California to sample foodstuffs with a bit of abandon. Get price and date info. Oh, and Ahwahnee? We mentioned the Vintners' Holidays in the fall, and the Chefs' Holidays now. Dessert usually follows those two things. So how about Sweets Holidays come the spring? A suggestion.
