ARTSPLASH: In September, art will take over Carlsbad where the Flower Fields reign supreme in the spring. ArtSplash takes place Sept. 25-26 to celebrate art while raising money for art and music education in North County schools.
STREET VIEW: From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, chalk artists will be creating replicas of museum masterpieces right on on Armada Drive overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
CROP ARTIST: Other artists will be creating pieces using seeds, furniture and even used clothing.
MAKE IT A WEEKEND: Book with local hotels offering special rates for the ArtSplash Festival. The Grand Pacific Palisades is offering $149 plus tax per night.
