BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament: Tennis fans, take heed. (Although, if you are a true tennis fan, this probably isn’t news to you.) The BNP Paribas Open attracts over 300,000 tennis fans for the two-week ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Premier event.
Say what?: Basically it means the top men and women professional players will compete at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Indian Wells is a desert dwelling located just east of Bakersfield.
Make it a date: Or a group date to get tickets at a discounted rate. Tickets go on sale November 3rd even though the tournament isn’t until March 9-20, 2011. At least you’ll have something to look forward to in the New Year.
Name drop: Look for pros like Roger Federer, Andy Roddick and Caroline Wozniacki.
