Cupid's Walk in the Vineyards

DON'T GET US WRONG: We like a traditional Valentine's dinner, the firelight, the starched tablecloth, the waiters who try table check-ins between smooches. But getting out and about, under the sky, in the outdoors, is always an excellent and rare thing on Feb. 14. Which is a shame, because we live in a region where we can. Take the Sunset Stroll at the San Diego Botanic Garden. Or the Cupid's Couples Walk Thru the Vineyards, which is happening at Keyways Vineyard & Winery in Temecula on Valentine's afternoon.

SIPS AND SIGHTS: The tasting is leaving the tasting room and heading out where the grapes actually grow. A Keyways rep will explain various parts of wine-making, including "crushing" (one doesn't have to stretch the mind too far to relate that word to the loviest day). And it is all going down from 3-4 p.m., meaning if you want to go the starched tablecloth route later in the day, you'll have time. Details, cost, more. Note the link is pdf.
