Champagne Pong and Carnival Delights

VEGAS VAVOOM: Sin City has offered many unusual delights over the years, experiences that deftly combine frou-frou-ier culture aspects with everyday, pay-little fun. But we have yet to see those two worlds come together as neatly as they apparently do in Champagne Pong. Do you need to let those words, and the concept, sit in your ether for a bit? We do. And we need to see the game played, at Caesars Palace, where the new burlesquery "ABSINTHE" just debuted on Tuesday, March 21.

MORE THAN PONG: There are dancers, there are carnival acts, there's a mirrored-out wooden tent called the Spiegeltent. Oh, and a "secret speakeasy." And while the show is indeed part-carnival, it is all for adults, note. Also note there is a beer garden, in case the idea of playing traditional Pong with pricey bubbly gives you the jitters. "ABSINTHE" has slinked through NYC and Miami, so you may have seen it there, or certainly heard about it. And you may have the one question we do: Will the strains of calliope become synonymous with the Strip? Could this be the re-vaudeville-ing of Vegas? And who's up for Champagne Pong?
