CALIFORNIA COURT TIME: We can't say it is a rare day to see a tennis superstar down California way. Sure, some of the biggest tourneys in the world are east of these parts -- way east -- but the Golden State boasts some of the biggies, too. One of those biggies is the BNP Paribas Open, which swings into Indian Wells every spring. The 2011 dates are Monday, March 7 through Sunday, March 20.
STARS: Roger Federer will be playing; so will Ivan Ljubicic, who returns to Indian Wells to defend his 2010 title. Part of the Open are the non-tennis to-dos, which are happening adjacent to the octet of courts. The Emirates Fastest Serve Challenge is on the schedule, as is a Kid's Day.
