Former San Diegan Greg Laswell is the No. 1 charting singer/songwriter (21st overall) on iTunes with his latest effort, Take a Bow.
On the morning of its May 4 release, the new-media-savvy Laswell dropped the following video, which included the statement, "Take a Bow is the best record I have ever heard":
Granted, Laswell's statement was said in jest, but I will say that Take a Bow -- currently streaming on his website -- is an amazing collection of songs, worthy of a serious listen. Recorded in a cabin outside Flagstaff, Ariz., the album is as emotional as it is epic, covering themes of love, loss and rebirth. A tremendous supporter of Mr. Laswell, my personal highlights on Take a Bow include "My Fight (for You)," "Around the Bend" and "Off I Go."
