Wine, Cheese and Oh, Yeah: Endoxi

Fans will get a chance to meet and greet local indie rockers Endoxi at a performance sponsored by Belly Up.

The band will be at the Winery on Cedros on Thursday. The night will includes a chance to taste Carruth Cellars' wines and a raffle of four tickets to Endoxi's show at the Belly Up on Saturday night. In addition to the raffle, the first 20 people in the door tonight will automatically receive tickets to that concert.

Endoxi's Chris Wilson, Joe Cardillo, John Varn, Matt Caskitt and Wally are a widely diverse group of musicians who mix genres from across the musical spectrum. Frontman Wilson describes their sound as "Mozart, drunk on Metallica's wine, flying through space on a rock n' rocket ship ... a 1940s big band Black Crowes playing with dirty Dave Matthews at Woodstock; we lit Jimi Hendrix on fire!"

Last year, the group released its first full-lenth, Earthbound. Endoxi are now working on their second album here in San Diego. In a post on Owland Bear.com, Wilson wrote about the band's name, which in Greek means "everything is in its place."

"I believe that my purpose in life is to spread this idea: Be grateful. Do right. This is Endoxi,"  Wilson told OwlandBear. "I write about self-discovery, not getting drunk and high, and bangin’ random girls."

The Winery on Cedros is located at 320 South Cedros Ave.in Solana Beach. The Endoxi event kicks off at 7 p.m.
